Matthew 18: 20 - " For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."          

God loves having a personal relationship with people. He loves one on ones but he also loves communities. He encourages a relationship with Him and relationship with others bound by Him. He promises to be with the people who come together in His name. He becomes an active member, a "body", a presence within that group. How amazing and how comforting that is! The God of heaven and earth, the Creator, and Savior wants to hang out with us, eat with us, and be a living part of our discussion. I wonder how the conversation would change if we were able to physically see Him. Or how disappointed he is when discussions become riddled with gossip. If I am not building my brothers and sisters up and they are not building me up, what is the purpose in fellowship? And is God really pleased and active in our meetings if we aren't really together in His name?
