discipleship

Hebrews 10: 24-25
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Fellowship is much more than eating together or hanging out together. The ultimate purpose in fellowship is not to fulfill our own wants and needs but to be glorifying to God, this is a form of worship. We need each other for encouragement and to "spur" ourselves to love others and live a life that is a clear reflection of God's own character. We are created in His holy image to glorify and praise His name. It reminds me how important discipleship is. Everyone needs someone to push them further to holiness. As Christians it is a walk as one body and not just by ourselves, for we are but just one part, one piece, one snippet of a much larger and grandeur picture.
